Pietersite Cabochon

This is a flashy freeform, somewhat cylindrical Pietersite Cabochon. It weighs 5.07 grams (25.35 carats) and measures 32 x 13 x 5mm.
Pietersite from Namibia is a pseudomorph variety of Quartz and is highly valued for its chatoyance, play of light and movement. Multiple colors, such as blues, golds, browns and reds, streak and swirl through the stone. Metaphysically, it is referred to as the “Tempest Stone” and is associated with the Third Eye and Solar Plexus Chakras.
