Number 8 Turquoise Rough Nugget

This colorful Number 8 Turquoise rough nugget has been windowed to show the beauty inside. It can easily be sliced into 3 good 3/16" slabs, which will each yield several ring and earring size cabochons. Also, each slice could yield one 25 x 18mm pendant size cabochon.

The nugget weighs 40.63 grams (203.15 carats) and measures approx. 50 x 32 x 24mm at its largest points.

Number Eight turquoise is a highly prized variety of Nevada turquoise whose availability is limited because it has not been mined since the 1970s.
