Number 8 Turquoise Freeform Cabochon

Lovely triangular freeform Number 8 cabochon with soft blue turquoise, brown matrix and webbing. It weighs 5.26 grams (26.30 carats) and measures 29 x 23 x 6mm. 

Number Eight turquoise is a highly prized variety of Nevada turquoise whose availability is limited because it has not been mined since the 1970s. Specimens generally feature soft blue turquoise in a spiderweb pattern popping out from a brown matrix.
