Freeform Pietersite Cabochon

This spectacular Cabochon has a low top dome and a side girdle. It is not dyed or color enhanced. It weighs 5.67 grams (28.35 carats) and measures 38 x 17 x 4mm.
Pietersite from Namibia is a pseudomorph variety of Quartz and is highly valued for its chatoyance, play of light and movement. Multiple colors, such as blues, golds, browns and reds, streak and swirl through the stone. Metaphysically, it is referred to as the “Tempest Stone” and is associated with the Third Eye and Solar Plexus Chakras.
